CEB Continuing Professional Development Programme

Notice: Thank you for joining us

We have wrapped-up the final session for our 2016/2017 Calendar. Please keep an eye on your inbox for your exclusive invitation to join peers at our 2017/2018 CPD Calendar launch in October.

Join our CPD Programme

We are passionate about the development of the industrial psychology profession. We believe in the difference that the profession can make in business, in driving business results and ensuring the success of both business and the profession in years to come. This success requires us to take responsibility for our role, for the knowledge we contribute, and for understanding the requirements of business. To drive this success we need to redefine the relationship organisational psychology has with business.

Join us for a 12 month accredited CPD programme (24 CEU), where we share practical innovative ideas and thinking that will allow organisational psychologists to play a central role in ensuring the ongoing success of organisations during these uncertain times .

CPD Programme

16 August 2016 - Practice Discussion: Psychologist as Coach

Psychologists increasingly find themselves playing the role of a coach, or being asked to design, develop, and support an organisation’s coaching programme. In either instance the psychologist’s role remains unclear and illdefined. Drawing on current best practice and research, the discussion will centre on defining and understanding the psychologist’s role as a coach.

The session explores the role that systems psychodynamics play in employee engagement.

4 April 2017 - Practice Discussion: LGBT programmes in the workplace

Research has long been concerned with the experience of minority groups within the workplace. Emanating from a broader recognition of organisation’s responsibility to work proactively against adverse impact, the formation of diversity forums and movements within organisations have been on the rise. One particular segment of the workforce – lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered – face very specific workplace challenges in terms of adverse impact. In this session we explore the nature of the challenges and debate if an LBGT program within an organisation is the most effective way to protect and support this segment of the workforce.
