B2B sales has never been more difficult or required such sophisticated skills; companies are shooting themselves in the foot by ignoring half of the workforce.
The current selling environment necessitates more advanced skills, but finding sellers and leaders with these skills continues to be difficult. CEB Sales member organizations cite sourcing high-performing sales talent as their number-one challenge - 35% of sales managers couldn't find qualified candidates for open positions, up from 24% in 2010.
Currently, women make up more than half of the college graduates in the United States. But despite achieving equal or even higher quota attainment in some cases, women are underrepresented in all levels of the sales organization.
