Submit your awards entry online
Entries must be submitted by Friday, 23 March 2018. Entries received after the entry deadline will not be considered. Complete your application online.
Please ensure that your entry is optimized to the specific category criteria.
Identical entries submitted into multiple categories will not be accepted.

Meet the Judges
Research Director, Communications Leadership Council, CEB, now Gartner
Jeff has served as Research Director for CEB, now Gartner, for the past seven years. During this time he’s led original research studies on topics such as change communication, employee engagement, corporate brand, and effective communication measurement. Prior to CEB, Jeff worked in the consumer products and mutual funds industry.
Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Internal Communications Manager, Encompass Health
Alyssa Hagan currently serves as internal communications manager at Encompass Health, one of the nation's largest providers of post-acute healthcare services. Through timely and creative content development and governance, she manages the company's employee mobile app and offers corporate partners a strategic approach to communication needs.
Alyssa has served in Encompass Health's communications department for seven years and holds a bachelor's degree in public relations from Marquette University.
Senior Director, Communications Leadership Council, CEB, now Gartner
In her role as an Executive Advisor, Dorian applies the Council's analysis and insight in helping communications executives address their most critical challenges. Among those challenges: strategic planning, growing the value of the function, social media, cultivating an engaged and strategically aligned workforce, reputation management, crisis communications, and building the corporate brand.
Dorian joined CEB, now Gartner in 2007, bringing with her more than a decade of professional experience in communications as a journalist, instructor, researcher, and documentary producer and videographer. Since joining CEB, now Gartner, she has presented at hundreds of conferences across the U.S., Europe, and South Africa.
Dorian received both her Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism and an MA in communications theory from Brigham Young University. She lives in Arlington, Virginia.
Director, The SD Group
Over the past ten years, Sue has acted as trainer, coach and confidante for hundreds of leaders and communication specialists and her models and frameworks are used in organizations worldwide.
Her consultancy business, The SD Group, specializes in professional development for communicators, and communication-related learning for leaders and line managers. She co-developed the CEB Black Black Belt in Internal Communications programme, and she and her team lead the training throughout Europe and Scandinavia
Before moving into consultancy, Sue spent many years working as a senior internal communicator in house. Leading teams at Royal Mail, Barclays and NTL (now Virgin Media), much of her in-house career was spent focusing on large-scale change projects.
Sue is endlessly fascinated with ‘what makes people tick’! She is a trained co-active coach, with a BA (hons) in Communication Studies, a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations, and an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology.
Executive Advisor, Communications Leadership Council, CEB, now Gartner
Joni serves as an executive advisor with CEB’s Communications Leadership Council. In that role she works with leaders of communications and their teams helping them solve their biggest problems and successfully implement on key priorities quickly and with confidence based on CEB’s proprietary research and best practices from communicators around the globe.
Prior to her time as an executive advisor Joni spent several years working as a communications professional where she helped build the function at her organization, developed and managed media relationships, pitched major U.S. and international press, conducted media training for key company spokespeople, managed high level events, etc. Joni holds a B.A. in Communications from Brigham Young University and an M.A. in Communications from Johns Hopkins University with an emphasis on digital and behavior change communications.
Senior Vice President, Internal Communications and Alumni Relations, Nielsen
Kristie Stegen is Nielsen’s Senior Vice President of Internal Communications and Alumni Relations. She leads the team responsible for informing, engaging, motivating and empowering more than 40,000 associates worldwide. Kristie is also responsible for Nielsen’s continued outreach to, and connections with, Nielsen alumni around the world.
Over the past 20 years, she has amassed an eclectic mix of experience in marketing and communications—always with the common thread of helping organizations connect with their associates and clients, and providing strategies and tactics to help companies and teams manage change and open lines of communication.
Prior to joining Nielsen in 2008, Kristie held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility in marketing and communications at Citigroup and Budget Rent a Car.
Kristie is based in Chicago, Illinois. In her spare time, you might find her singing in her small group ensemble, dining at a new local hot spot, or wildly applauding her son’s latest theater performance or volleyball game.
Group Communications Manager, Aggreko
With 10 years’ experience in Communications, Laura has worked in a variety of industries including Construction, Property, Retail and, most recently, Utilities.
She has held a number of positions in large corporations with proven results in strategic communications, change communications and major global transformation projects.
She is particularly passionate about the role internal communication plays in organizational development, as well as employee experience.
In her current role she is responsible for strategic communications related to performance, corporate community investment and culture. She is also enjoying her work in improving the digital employee experience through the use of technology - Aggreko has approximately 6,500 employees located in 120 territories.
Laura has a PgDip in Internal Communications Management from Kingston Business School and was named on the Institute of Internal Communication’s ’30 under 30’ list of rising stars in 2012. She is excited to understand what her fellow communications professionals have been working on over the past year and the impact they have had.
Head of Employee Communications and Engagement, Tieto
As Head of Employee Communications and Engagement at Tieto, the leading software and services company in the Nordics, Nina drives strategy engagement, communicative leadership and an open, collaborative corporate culture.
Nina is an energetic communications professional based in Helsinki, Finland, with a passion for challenge, change and co-creation. Her team has been recognized internationally for its work with change communications in the dynamic context of business renewal and digitalization.
