Creating a Culture That Performs

Accordion1

Only 31% of HR leaders believe their organization has the culture it needs to drive future performance. Complex organizational structures, rapidly evolving competitive environments, and disruptive trends impacting the workforce leave many CHROs unsure of their organization’s current culture(s), uncertain whether updates are needed, and unable to sufficiently embed culture to drive desired employee behaviors.  Leading organizations realize they can create an aligned culture faster and more cost-effectively by aligning key processes in employees’ workflow, in addition to OR before, aligning influential people in employees' networks.

From Data Reporting to Strategic Sourcing: Using Big Data to Find & Hire Critical Talent Faster

Accordion1

Three quarters of CEOs are concerned that the availability of key skills is a threat to growth. At the same time, only 16% of companies understand external labour market trends, and many of those who do find it hard to effectively use this intelligence.

This interactive session will feature a live demonstration of our Talent Neuron Recruit platform to show how data-driven recommendations and real time labour market insights have helped the Worldpay talent acquisition team become a strategic advisor to the business and more effective in sourcing critical talent.

Reimagine Leadership & Talent Management

Agile HIPO Development

Accordion1

As the pace of change in many organizations accelerates, the direction of the organization and future leadership profiles are increasingly unclear. In fact, most organizations expect more than 40% of their leadership roles to change significantly within the next five years. HIPO development programs—designed to prepare and equip high potential talent for these future leadership roles—are attempting, many unsuccessfully, to hit a moving target. In this session, we will discuss how L&D can adopt an agile HIPO development strategy to keep up with the speed of change and prepare HIPOs for the future.

Reimagine Development & Performance

Addressing Pay Equity

Accordion1

Total Rewards executives feel pressure from all sides to close pay gaps—from the CEO to the customer. Pay equity has increasingly become a legal, talent, and reputational risk. This research will address how progressive companies are identifying and eliminating pay gaps, and what you should do to stay ahead of this issue at your organization.

Redefining the Candidate Experience

Accordion1

Processes that are considered high effort will have 30% fewer candidates moving to the interview stage. Join this session to learn how the best organizations increase the number of high quality candidates by reducing the effort of the application apply and tailoring the process to help candidates make the right decision for themselves and the business.

Reimagine Development & Performance

A New Manager Mandate

Accordion1

Increasingly the involvement of managers in employee development is the top priority for HR leaders in today’s work environment. However, our research of nearly 8,000 employees finds that the type of manager most L&D functions are trying to develop actually degrades employee performance. In this session learn about which type of manager triples the likelihood of employees being high performers and how to accelerate the effectiveness of your managers coaching and development approach.

Reimagine Leadership & Talent Management

Linking Leadership Performance to Business Outcomes

Accordion1

Consideration of context in leader selection and development has become increasingly important. Companies and vendors alike are working to integrate context into their leadership programmes; however, considering nearly 50% of all leaders fail to meet their objectives after moving into a new role, the methods used to define and apply context in decision-making are highly variable and unproven. In this session, learn about how CEB is supporting leadership selection and development today, and our plans for the near future as we complete the largest research study in over 25 years to understand and enable leader performance. Our aspiration with the research -- and subsequent assessment services -- is to increase by 3x how you can accurately predict the likelihood of success for leaders in new positions by effectively applying role, team, and organisational context to the selection process. Session will include client panel, sharing their experience with the Leader Edge solution.

Accordion1

Join highly qualified experts -- one on the macro political environment and one on the future of work -- to understand what are the critical trends most important to focus on today and what should business and HR leaders do to make sure we are fully ready when the future arrives.

Creating a Common Vision of Digitalization for the Business and HR

Accordion1

There’s no doubt that digitalization—the use of data and technology to enhance existing products and services, improve channel coordination and performance, and optimize enterprise activities and processes—is a pressing business issue. Eighty-seven percent of executives agree digitalization is a priority for their company, yet only 27% of senior executives have a cohesive digitalization strategy across the enterprise. The lack of a cohesive definition of, and strategy for, digitalization presents a major opportunity for Chief HR Officers and other senior HR executives to create a common understanding of digitalization with their business leaders and craft a corresponding talent strategy to help their CEO.

Keynote: Start Up Forever

It is Sahar Hashemi’s belief, rooted in her own experience as the unlikeliest of entrepreneurs, is that we are all born entrepreneurs. We are all born creative. When we start a business, the dynamics of a startup allow us to make the most of those innate qualities. In a large corporation this is less likely to happen. In fact, the bureaucracy of a corporate environment does more to stifle those innate qualities than to activate them

Sahar believes that it is possible and indeed very attractive to behave like an entrepreneur in a corporate environment. In fact, it is the only way to go. The old mindset, that large corporates could safely leave the entrepreneurial way of doing things – the relentless drive to always “get out of your comfort zone” – to startups, is actually more risky. Now sitting still has become instant death in business.

Sahar outlines fundamental behaviour shifts employees must make to unlock their innate entrepreneurial potential. in the form of simple, easy-to-remember rules you can apply when faced with everyday work dilemmas. Where can I find good ideas? How shall I proceed once I find a spark of innovation? How shall I fill my calendar this week? She aims to show how to respond like an entrepreneur.

Outcomes-Based Assessment

Accordion1

Despite a proliferation of new assessment tools and technology, the metrics for selecting the right people for jobs are at best static, and in many cases declining.

How can organizations improve selection and demonstrate the value gained from the assessment process?  Outcomes-Based Assessment is a successful approach in which assessment tools and methods are selected, deployed, monitored and optimised for their ability to deliver specific and measurable business outcomes.  In this session we will introduce the Outcomes-Based Assessment model, describe the key features of the methodology and explore the link between assessment and achieving organizational goals, illustrated with client case stories.

Reimagine Diversity & Inclusion

Building Inclusive Leaders

Accordion1

Leaders that build a more inclusive environment get better results.  But the question that HR executives face is how do they support their leaders to build a more inclusive environment?  In this session we will share the profiles, strategies, and activities that the most inclusive leaders engage in to improve the talent and business outcomes of their organization.

Recruiting in the Digital Enterprise

Accordion1

To remain competitive, organizations across industries are digitizing their business models, service delivery, and operations. This digital transformation places strain on the recruiting service delivery model, which is challenged by symptoms of digital change like increasing variation in requisitions, greater volatility in hiring volume, and unrealistic hiring manager expectations. The current service delivery model not only fails to fill critical talent roles quickly; it also cannot sustainably support the long-term digital transformation of the enterprise given flat budgets and staffing.

The best organizations are redesigning their Recruiting service delivery model to quickly fill critical talent roles for a business in digital transition, keep pace with hiring needs in an era of accelerated change, and better match emerging talent needs with shifting labor market supply.

Building Bench Strength: Identifying and Developing Future Stars

Accordion1

Determining the criteria and approach to use when identifying future stars is a decision that many of our clients struggle with, whether it be when determining annual potential ratings, identifying talent to progress onto talent programs or for specific roles in their organizations.  This session will look to address this topic and will include guest speakers from Parker Hannifin and Smith & Nephew who will share their approaches in two different scenarios; the identification and development of High Potentials and the identification and development of Ready Successors, respectively.  The session will be framed by a best practice model of talent assessment that provides a structured approach to determining where the emphasis of talent measurement should be placed when you are faced with different talent questions.

Employment Branding in an Information Rich Era

Accordion1

The growing abundance of candidate focused platforms and information sites makes the labor market increasingly transparent for candidates and increasingly difficult for organizations to manage perceptions of their employment brand.  This is particularly problematic as competition for talent continues to intensify, with over 90% of the S&P 100 and two-thirds of the FTSE 100 companies targeting most of their recruitment efforts at just over 20 in-demand roles.  In this session, learn how the best organizations manage their brand as a living asset, not a static message, to better compete for critical talent.
