At the beginning of 2015, the city of Bangalore, India was officially designated Bengaluru, the Indian name for the city. On 30 March, CEB officially opened a new office in Bengaluru, India’s third most populous city and one of the fastest-growing major metropolitan areas in the country. Keeping pace with the city’s rapid growth is CEB.

During the first quarter of 2014, we employed four staff members in Bangalore—three employees working in SHL Talent Measurement at CEB and one member of the CEB Iconoculture Consumer Insights team. Just one year later, we’ve grown to nearly 60 employees, and our plan is to grow to more than 100 staff members within the next few years.

Known as the Silicon Valley of India, Bengaluru was the original go-to destination for information technology (IT) firms, analytics, and other emerging technologies in the big data space. Companies such as Google, Yahoo!, Oracle, Dell, IBM, Wipro, Infosys, eBay, and HP all have offices there. Outside of Bengaluru, Chennai is the next major hot spot for companies looking to export IT products and services.

“It’s exciting to see that CEB has a growing presence in both Bengaluru and Chennai,” shared Todd B., group leader, talent management products and services. “We continue to offer compelling careers in the IT, research, product, and quant spaces. The growing footprint of our multinational firm and product offerings makes us a strong competitor for top local talent.”

All in all, it’s a pretty cool place.
