Corporate Leadership Team

Tom Monahan

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Tom Monahan oversees CEB’s nearly $1 billion in annual revenue and a staff of 4,500 global employees who deliver business insights and actionable solutions to the markets they serve.

Tom has served on the Board of Directors since 2001, as CEO since 2005, and as Chairman of the Board since 2008. Under his leadership, CEB has helped redefine how the world's leading companies make their most important decisions and has become one of the fastest growing professional/information service companies—increasing revenue and profit nearly fourfold over the past decade. It has also been established as one of the most respected authorities on talent management.

During his tenure, Tom has led the firm's efforts on a wide variety of issues critical to business success. These include harnessing technology for innovation, redefining the work environment, reducing operating and reputational risk, and reassessing the structure and role of the financial sector.

Tom is a member of the Board of Directors of Convergys Corporation, a board member of PeaceTech Lab and a trustee of the Maret School. He is a member of the CEO Fiscal Leadership Council, the Economic Club of Washington, YPO, and is a Chair for Leadership Giving at Harvard University.

Before joining CEB, Tom worked with Deloitte & Touche, the Committee for Economic Development and Andersen Consulting. He holds an undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Harvard University and received his MBA with distinction from New York University. Ponna Arumugam

Chief Information Officer

As CIO, Ponna has overall responsibility for architecture, technology application development, security, infrastructure management, and IT operations at CEB. She leads the Global Technology, Content Publishing, and Information Resource teams.

Ponna has over 25 years of IT experience, managing complex development initiatives and diverse teams across the globe. Prior to joining CEB, she served as the Senior Director of Engineering at Symantec, leading the company’s development of a next-generation portal and analytics for managed security services. Ponna was previously Vice President of Analytic Development at Thomson Reuters, where her work in over 14 years of technology leadership posts included successfully integrating multicultural teams and streamlining product development.

Ponna's early career included various software development positions at Unisys and OkiData, as well as Research Scientist for the Combat Vehicles R&D Establishment in India. Ponna holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University, USA.

Rob Chen

Chief Marketing Officer

Rob Chen is responsible for developing and leading CEB’s marketing strategy and execution, including product and channel marketing, market research, brand, thought-leadership, public relations, demand generation, and sales enablement.

Rob has a strong track record of executive leadership and general management experience, with deep expertise leading global teams across business segments and industry sectors. Since joining CEB, Rob has refined the firm’s market and brand position as a best practice insights and technology leader, enhanced its presence in digital, social, and mobile channels, and developed and executed a globally scalable demand generation strategy.

Rob was previously Senior Vice President of Product and Channel Marketing for First Data Corporation, where he transformed and implemented go-to-market strategies for numerous product innovations. Rob also held a number of executive roles with Visa Inc., including Head of Global Client Strategy, Head of Commercial and Processing Marketing, and VP of Small Business Marketing. Rob has also held senior management roles in several leading technology companies in Silicon Valley, including Siebel Systems (now Oracle), Edge Dynamics and Salesforce.com.

Rob has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Business Administration from University of California at Berkeley.

Melody Jones

Chief Administrative Officer

Melody Jones oversees CEB’s global HR, IT, Legal, and Product Development functions.

During her tenure, Melody has supported the growth of CEB’s professional services business, which provides development experiences for emerging leaders and increases functional effectiveness. She has also used CEB’s tools and insights to implement several best practice innovations in human capital management and ethical leadership, structured the global technology delivery system to deliver an improved service to members and employees, launched the firm’s global philanthropic initiative, and redesigned the product development process. She spearheads initiatives designed to ensure that the values of the firm are embodied in each employee around the globe.

Prior to assuming her current position, Melody served as the Human Resources Director for T. Rowe Price, where she had overall responsibility for the HR function. Prior to joining T. Rowe Price, Melody served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Aon Corporation, a Fortune 50 insurance brokerage and consulting company. Previously, Melody served as a senior consultant with Organizational Dynamics, Inc., and held several leadership positions with Citicorp Mortgage.

Melody holds Master of Music and Bachelor of Arts degrees, both from Southern Illinois University. She has also completed post-graduate work in Organizational Psychology at the University of Missouri.

Jesse Levin

Head of Corporate Strategy & Development

Jesse Levin oversees Corporate Strategy & Development and is responsible for growth strategy and execution. This includes strategic planning and project management, new product platform and market expansion, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), post-merger integration, strategic alliances, and corporate ventures.

During his tenure, Jesse professionalized CEB’s corporate planning, new product development and M&A capabilities. He’s also led over 20 acquisitions and venture investments across the firm’s major domains and geographies. His efforts transformed CEB’s global operating scale and positioned the company as a leading provider of human capital analytics. Previously, Jesse served in various roles in the Office of the Chairman & CEO, New Product Development & Management, and Strategic Research at CEB.

Jesse serves on the Board of Directors of Payscale, LegalOnRamp, TASGroup, CorpU, and 9Lenses.

Jesse received his Bachelor’s degree in Leadership Studies from the University of Richmond and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School. Outside of CEB, Jesse enjoys competitive swimming, sport fishing, and helping start-ups.

Rich Lindahl

Chief Financial Officer

Rich Lindahl oversees the firm’s financial operations and leads investor relations initiatives.

During his tenure, Rich has partnered with the leadership team to develop long-range operating and capital allocation plans for the sustained growth of enterprise value. As chair of the Investments and Acquisitions Committee, Rich provides strategic, negotiating, and financing guidance for M&A transactions, including the $660 million purchase of SHL Group that increased annualized revenues by 38%. He focuses his energy on improving CEB’s global operating performance, ensuring effective investor communications, optimizing finance and real estate operations, and enhancing risk management processes. Rich also serves as the senior executive liaison to the Audit Committee of the CEB Board of Directors.

Prior to joining CEB, Rich worked at Sprint Nextel Corporation as Senior Vice President and Treasurer. He also served in various positions at Nextel Communications, Inc., including as Vice President and Treasurer and in Planning and Analysis roles. Rich was Vice President, Finance, at Pocket Communications, Inc. and has held positions with MCI Communications, Deloitte & Touche, and Casher Associates.

Rich earned an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia and a BA in Computer Science from Dartmouth College. He enjoys golf, skiing, tennis, and playing guitar.

Haniel Lynn

Group President, Best Practice & Decision Support

Haniel Lynn oversees CEB’s Best Practices & Decision Support offerings, including the membership-based Leadership Councils. In this capacity, Haniel leads a global team of researchers and Executive Advisor™ employees who help senior leaders embrace insights from the best companies to save time and make better decisions.

Prior to his current role, Haniel led the Sales & Marketing, Communications, and Financial Services practices, where he was instrumental in bringing business-critical insights to market. Under his direction, CEB published the Wall Street Journal best-selling book The Challenger Sale and, more recently, The Effortless Experience—both lauded for challenging conventional wisdom and shifting management paradigms. He originally joined CEB as the Managing Director of the New Product Development group and later led the Solutions business.

Prior to joining CEB, Haniel was Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at LYTE, Inc., where he developed the business and operating model, led partnership development activities, and raised capital to support the early growth of the company. Before LYTE, he spent a number of years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Early in his career, Haniel worked with GE Information Services.

Haniel graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and holds an MBA from the Wharton School.

Christophe Martel

Chief HR Officer

Christophe is responsible for developing and leading CEB’s firm-wide talent strategy, overseeing all end-to-end Human Resource operations. With responsibility for Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, HR Business Partners, Learning & Development, Organizational Effectiveness and Talent Acquisition, Christophe ensures CEB attracts, develops and retains top-decile talent.

Christophe was appointed CHRO in 2016, after a successful 14 years in CEB’s sales organization and five as Head of CEB EMEA. Christophe is known for his global business acumen, coaching skills, and enormous passion for all things talent-related. He spent his early career in various product, sales, marketing and management roles in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the USA, having worked for renowned organizations like IBM, EDS, PTC and Dassault Systèmes.

Christophe holds a MSc in Engineering and a DEA in Geophysics from ENSG in France.

Anthony Parslow

General Manager – EMEA & APAC Markets

Anthony Parslow oversees go-to-market operations for CEB’s Best Practices & Decision Support offerings in EMEA and APAC. His teams partner with C-suite executives to help them achieve greater business results by more effectively optimizing returns on talent, customer and operational investments.

Anthony is responsible for ensuring CEB remains connected to what the best companies do. This includes prioritizing markets and investments and building strong and effective partnerships with clients. He is passionate about connecting leaders across EMEA and APAC with actionable solutions proven to drive bottom-line results.

During his tenure, Anthony has been instrumental in growing CEB’s global business. He joined the firm as Executive Director of Corporate Strategy and Global Development and also ran CEB's Professional Services businesses. In his strategy role, Anthony led a deeper focus on talent management, which included leading the acquisition and integration of global talent assessment and analytics leader SHL, now CEB Talent Assessment. He previously served as the Chief Operating and Customer Officer for that organization.

Prior to joining CEB, Anthony held leadership positions at IBM, Forrester and Datamonitor.

Anthony received a First Class Honors Bachelor of Commerce from the National University of Ireland, Galway and a Diploma in International Management from EM Strasbourg Business School.

Kurt Reisenberg

Chief Commercial Officer

Kurt is CEB’s Chief Commercial Officer in charge of the sales and account management teams who represent our products and services to clients in North America.

Prior to becoming CCO, Kurt served as Group Leader responsible for several practice areas in the company’s Best Practices & Decision Support business, including Finance, Risk & Audit, Compliance & Legal, and Strategy & Operations. His research and advisory teams equipped leaders with the insights and tools to make their functional departments more effective, and so create unique value for their enterprises. Prior to that, he oversaw strategic customer account management, and led wealth management, insurance, and retail banking Leadership Councils for CEB's Financial Services practice.

Kurt graduated with honors, magna cum laude, from Brown University.

Warren Thune

Group President, Talent Management

Warren Thune oversees CEB's talent management offerings which equip corporate leaders to maximize talent investments by applying the same level of rigor and discipline to talent decisions as they do other corporate assets.

In this capacity, Warren oversees business, product, and services teams that drive innovation and client outcomes across CEB’s broad set of talent offerings, including selection and assessment, talent planning and analytics, workforce surveys, performance management, and development.

During his tenure, Warren has worked with thousands of executives, in 30 functional roles to unlock the potential of organizations and leaders by advancing the science and practice of management. He has overseen CEB's HR, IT, Sales & Service, Strategy, R&D, Operations, and Government practices; he continues to lead the firm's Talent Management Labs team. Warren has been instrumental in building and supporting teams that can identify, create, and distribute scalable IP to be distributed across CEB's member and client base. Warren’s teams have created numerous frame-breaking research studies, including Driving Breakthrough Performance in the New Work Environment and The Future of Corporate IT, and have launched new SaaS platforms such as Roadmap Builder.

Before joining CEB, Warren spent over 10 years with Oliver Wyman (then known as Mercer Management Consulting) — the last three as a Senior Partner running the firm's San Francisco office. At Oliver Wyman, he concentrated on developing customer-focused corporate strategies across numerous industries.

Warren received his MBA from the University of Chicago and his BA from the University of Pennsylvania. He enjoys photography, sports, and watching his kids grow.

Mohamed Farid

Managing Director, Middle East

Mohamed Farid is Managing Director, Middle East for CEB. Joining CEB in 2008, Mohamed was tasked with establishing the talent management practice in the region. In his eight years’ tenure, Mohamed has established the Middle East presence and has grown the business exponentially with clients across the MENA region, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt. Prior to joining the company, Mohamed held senior executive roles with a various blue chip companies in the Middle East across IT, Telecom, and Marketing Communications sectors.

Mr. Farid has earned his Bachelor Degree from the American University in Cairo in 1998, and his Master’s Degree from Middlesex University in London in 1999. He is currently enrolled On Executive program for General Management with MIT.

Stefan Ferreira

Managing Director, South Africa

As Managing Director, Stefan oversees all the commercial, professional services and support teams responsible for delivering business value through talent assessments to clients across Africa.

Stefan’s work in developing and positioning the commercial team has been instrumental to transforming the go-to-market approach for CEB in Africa, further strengthening the company’s position as the leading provider of talent assessments and related products and services.

Prior to CEB, Stefan worked as a management consultant with a specialization in large scale business transformations and turnarounds.

Stefan holds a bachelor’s degree in financial management from University of Pretoria and an MBA from the Management College of South Africa.

Christy Forest

Managing Director, Asia-Pacific

As Managing Director for the region, Christy brings her passion for breakthrough insights and client service to CEB’s dynamic and growing Asia-Pacific business.

Christy’s contribution to CEB includes spearheading the international expansion of our membership portfolio, and ownership of global member services and renewals with a seat on the Executive Committee. She was also instrumental to our acquisitions in Asia-Pacific, overseeing the integration of CEB and SHL and leading the acquisition of CEOForum in Australia. In 2015, she won CEB’s Global Values award for “Stewardship of Exceptional Talent.”

Christy started her career in marketing and sales with Hitachi, joining CEB to help launch its first functional membership, CLC. She holds a degree from the University of Virginia, and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

André Fortange

Managing Director, Germany

André manages CEB’s German, Austrian, and Swiss (DACH) region and is responsible for HR Consulting in EMEA, the world’s second largest consulting market.

Prior to joining CEB, André was on the Management Board of Kienbaum Management Consultants and Senior Manager at Accenture, with a strong focus on HR strategy and organization as well as talent management. André graduated at the University of Mannheim as student in Law and Work, Economy and Society-Psychology.

Kerry Ghize

Market Leader, EMEA

Kerry is responsible for leading the account management and sales functions of CEB EMEA’s best practice and decision support business, with oversight of service and product portfolios, customer experience, and talent engagement for the region.

In this capacity, Kerry has contributed to go-to-market redesign, acquisition integration and country expansion plans in support of EMEA’s growing business and diverse client network. Kerry is passionate for coaching and developing teams to their potential and in 2014, she won CEB’s values award for “Stewardship of Exceptional Talent.”

Kerry has previously held roles in both sales and account management and prior to her work in Europe was part of the commercial launch team for CEB’s Technology practice in North America.

Kerry graduated magna cum laude with a degree in international relations and Spanish from Georgetown University.

Anthony Liu

Managing Director, Asia

Mr. Anthony Liu is Managing Director, Asia, CEB. He is responsible for the business planning and analysis, commercial operations for the region. He joined CEB in 2013 in his current role.

Anthony has over 15 years of experience in corporate management, strategic planning and business operations. Prior to joining CEB, he assumed key management and executive positions in leading professional service and high-tech firms in Greater China and the region including Capgemini, as the service line head of Business Transformation and Process Consulting, and NetApp, as the Director of Strategic Planning and Development. In the earlier part of his career, he worked as a senior consultant in the management consulting practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Anthony is an active speaker and experienced management consultant in the areas of Business Strategy, Business Transformations, which include Finance and Employee Transformations. Highlighted clients in Greater China and region include Air China, China Mobile, China Telecom, Shanghai SASAC and Government, ShenDong Coal, TNT, American Express, Dairy Farm, Li & Fung and Hong Kong Government.

Anthony receives MBA from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class honors) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Hong Kong.

Jay Shankavaram

Head of CEB India

Jay is responsible for India office strategy, its research & content operations; and its technology infrastructure, while serving as an executive partner to CEB’s global practices and corporate functions.

Prior to this role, Jay was responsible for directing service strategy and product delivery for CEB’s Technology practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and served on the European Leadership Committee from 2010 to2013. He has also served as the primary senior advisor to several of the Technology Practice’s enterprise accounts, including 3M, Bank of America, Cardinal Health, Eli Lilly, EMC, Fidelity Investments, Manpower, Pfizer, Shell and Target.

His leadership experience at CEB includes managing programs that serve the Chief Information Officers, Heads of Applications, Enterprise Architecture, Supply Chain and Operations executives. He has directed product efforts in areas related to technology innovation, technology road mapping, portfolio management, software delivery, supply network planning and demand forecasting. He has served as an executive member of the Technology Practice Management Committee at CEB since 2005.

Before joining CEB, Jay was a Research Scientist at the Center for Building Performance and Diagnostics, a National Science Foundation center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this capacity, he has consulted extensively with international institutions such as DaimlerChrysler, Sun Microsystems, Steelcase, U.S. federal organizations such as Department of Energy, and urban development authorities in Netherlands and China. Jay has been extensively cited in international publications, and received research excellence awards. Jay received his Ph.D. and M.S. from Carnegie Mellon University in the United States, and Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Mumbai in India.

Nick Shaw

Managing Director, Talent Assessment, UK & Ireland

Nick ensures that CEB assessment solutions align with organizations’ needs, and that sales and consulting teams are optimized to deliver success for clients. He also acts as a project sponsor for key global solutions, partnering with clients and internal teams to define key success metrics and to measure the impact of HR interventions.

Prior to CEB, Nick worked for a market research and data analytics company, using market insights to help organizations determine their most effective customer growth and retention strategies.

Nick is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist (CPsychol) and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS). He holds an MSc in Organizational Psychology from the UK’s University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST).

Brent Adamson

Principal Executive Advisor, Marketing & Communications Practice

Best-selling author and CEB Principal Executive Advisor Brent Adamson is a sought-after speaker and facilitator. He has more than 20 years of experience as a professional researcher, teacher and trainer, guiding a wide range of executive-level discussions for Fortune 500 executives in sales, marketing, and customer service.

Brent is co-author of The Challenger Sale: Taking Control of the Customer Conversation, where he argues that only one type of sales person, the Challenger, delivers consistently high performance results. In 2015, Brent co-authored The Challenger Customer: Selling to the Hidden Influencer Who Can Multiply Your Results (Penguin, USA). Both books are business best sellers. Brent is also a frequent contributor to Harvard Business Review.

Brent joined CEB from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business where he received his MBA with distinction. Prior to that, he served on the faculty of Michigan State University as a Professor of German and Applied Linguistics. In addition to his MBA, Brent holds a BA with distinction in political science from the University of Michigan along with MAs in political science and German, and a Ph.D. in applied linguistics from the University of Texas.

Rick Delisi

Principal Executive Advisor, Marketing & Communications Practice

Author and Executive Advisor Rick Delisi focuses on helping executives unlock the extraordinary potential of communication to solve business problems and contribute to the bottom line.

Drawing on more than 20 years of experience, Rick offers solutions in key topic areas such as how to effectively manage social media, building communications strategies to drive measurable business results, enhancing the customer experience while continuing to reduce operating costs, and boosting customer loyalty in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

As co-author of The Effortless Experience: Conquering the New Battleground for Customer Loyalty, Rick and his colleagues debunk the age-old customer service motto of “dazzling” customers to build brand loyalty. Instead, the authors prove that loyalty is driven by how well a company delivers on its basic promises and solves day-to-day problems, making the customer’s experience an effortless one.

Prior to his work with CEB, Rick spent more than two decades working as a journalist as well as in the airline and tourism industries, specializing in customer communication and public relations strategies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University.

Matt Dixon

Group Leader, Financial Services Practice

Best-selling author and CEB Group Leader, Matt Dixon draws on a richly diverse background in his work, spanning financial services, sales and customer service.

Matt has co-authored three best-selling books, The Effortless Experience: Conquering the New Battleground for Customer Loyalty, The Challenger Sale: Taking Control of the Customer Conversation, and The Challenger Customer: Selling to the Hidden Influencer Who Can Multiply Your Results.

Currently, Matt serves as head of CEB’s Financial Services practice where he oversees work on behalf of 13,000 executives from over 400 financial services organizations globally. The practice also encompasses CEB TowerGroup research, known throughout the financial services industry as the standard-bearer for FS technology insights. In addition to the FS practice, Matt leads the CEB Customer Contact and CEB Customer Experience Leadership Councils. In this capacity, he guides insight creation on all aspects of customer service strategy, management and operations.

Matt holds a Ph.D. in political economy from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA with honors from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Md.

Brian Kropp

Practice Leader, Human Resources Practice

As an HR Practice Leader at CEB, Brian Kropp works with Chief Human Resource Officers, Heads of Compensation and Heads of Benefits to develop strategic plans that attract, develop and retain top talent, Brian spends much of his time working with CEB members on how leadership, employee engagement and labor market trends translate into tangible business issues.

Brian’s wealth of knowledge on workforce trends has been featured by notable titles including The Financial Times, The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek and Human Resource Executive. He's regularly asked to comment on employee engagement, performance management, and leadership challenges for a variety of media outlets, and has been guest on a variety of broadcast programs, including The Diane Rehm Show and The Bloomberg Advantage.

Prior to CEB, Brian worked for a variety of research institutions and taught courses in economics, policy analysis and quantitative methods at the University of North Carolina. His work has been published in several books, academic journals and other periodicals. Brian holds a Ph.D. in policy analysis from the University of North Carolina and an MA and BS in Economics from Clemson University.

Jean Martin

Talent Solutions Architect

As Talent Solutions Architect at CEB, Jean Martin directs the development of talent management solutions and insights, working closely with heads of human resources at some of the world’s largest organizations. She focuses particularly on issues such as driving breakthrough organizational performance, and assessing, engaging and retaining the best employees.

Jean is passionate about the business benefits companies reap when they find top talent and build out their global leadership bench. Her perspectives are regularly featured in Harvard Business Review, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, and Huffington Post, among other titles. She presents to executive teams at organizations including Starbucks, Amazon and BP, and has been a featured speaker at events such as The Economist Talent Summit and White House TechHire.

Prior to CEB, Jean served as a special assistant to President Clinton’s Domestic Policy Council. She was also a Presidential Management Fellow, serving as a Special Assistant to the Senior Vice President for small business/community development banking at Bank of America.

Jean received a Masters of Public Policy with a concentration in Economics and Finance from the Kennedy School at Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts with highest distinction from the University of Virginia.

Pat Spenner

Strategic Initiatives Leader, Marketing & Communications Practice

Best-selling author and marketing technology guru, Pat Spenner, is fascinated by how disruptive technologies in emerging markets and the micro-financing organizations are reshaping traditional industries.

As Director of Strategic Initiatives in CEB's Marketing practice, Pat’s areas of expertise include social media, marketing ROI, integrated marketing campaigns, agency management and customer loyalty. In 2015, Pat co-authored The Challenger Customer: Selling to the Hidden Influencer Who Can Multiply Your Results. In the book Pat helps marketers understand the implications of the new B2B buying environment and how to use commercial insight to develop and win business.

Prior to joining CEB in 2005, Pat served as a business manager in Capital One's marketing and analysis group. In that role, he managed all aspects of the marketing mix for the business, including marketing communications, pricing, segmentation, sales strategy and distribution. Pat has also led multiple research initiatives, supporting heads of strategy and human resources at Global 1000 corporations.

Pat holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Georgetown University and an MBA from Stanford University.

Nick Toman

Practice Leader, Sales & Service Practice

Over the past decade, Nick has conducted and presented many research studies on customer service and sales effectiveness to Fortune 500 business leaders and their teams. His expertise includes talent management, customer experience management, sales and service operations management, sales and service strategy, sales enablement and organizational culture. Nick is a co-author of The Challenger Customer: Selling to the Hidden Influencer Who Can Multiply Your Results, a principle contributor to The Challenger Sale: Taking Control of the Customer Conversation, and continues to research the Challenger and Insight Selling Methods™. He is also a co-author of The Effortless Experience: Conquering the New Battleground for Customer Loyalty. Nick has published three articles in Harvard Business Review and is a frequent contributor on sales and customer service topics for a number of blogs, including that of the Harvard Business Review and Freakonomics.

Nick holds degrees in A.B., Sociology and A.B., Law, Letters & Society from the University of Chicago.
